The river system brings you through the central part of the US via a network of flooded valleys, lakes, canals and rivers, but before it lets you out into the glorious salt water, it twists and turns mercilessly, making you feel as if you are lost a few miles from nowhere.

Thanks, Dad.
Top notch and very entertaining!
I love the unsolicited testimonials for these videos!!! If anyone else would like to write a favorable unsolicited testimonial, I’ll give you $2.50.
You seriously sent a drone to visit a shack at the edge of a swamp in Alabama?? I don’t know if that’s ballsy or crazy.
Steve, it’s like the line between pleasure and pain. Sometimes the line gets blurry. Incidentally, I suspect the owners of that house were at a PTA meeting or volunteering or something like that.
Will you be publishing a playlist for this adventure?
We’ll, I shouldn’t mention this, but I think I am going to do a music video. I think…. It’s a concept I‘ve been working on lately. Just finalizing the format with my producers and the record companies. Stay tuned. Don’t touch that dial.
Hey, that’s my dream shack if I was forced to live on land!(which I hope will never happen again!) Also, since you joined the Mississippi, imagine kayaking from the Wabash to Tarpon Springs, as my friend Ned did at 72. Loving your videos!
Xtine!!! I was at Tarpon Springs drinking rum right at your old workplace. Well, at the tiki bar behind it anyway. I’m not sure why you ever left Florida. Dolphins, tiki bars and endless dinghy of opportunities.
Nice! It sounds like Dan really misses Mckinley’s, he was pretty broken up!!
I got way more emotional than I could have anticipated. To dull the pain, I’ve since gone to about a thousand different bars on this trip, and none of them can fill the hole…but trust me, I will continue to try.
I’m hoping that in time there may be some newly discovered, perhaps roughly edited videos of the river system released. I just feel that there is more to learn for the diehard fans of the journey.
I have LOTS of unused footage, but most of it is unsuitable for the current political climate or contains foul, uneditable comments.
