This was the last previously untraveled portion of the Great Loop for us. This leg would bring us right back to the Statue of Liberty, where we’d “entered” the Loop over 12 months previous. Emotions were running high with the uncertainty of living in a post-Loop environment. We suspected problems reintegrating ourselves back into society, and there was an ominous tension in the air as we entered New York harbor.
