Jun 22: Virginia and the Chesapeake Bay

For the record, the Chesapeake Bay is enormous. Way bigger than Long Island Sound, or Narragansett Bay, or probably than both of them combined…times 3, probably. We only stopped at a tiny fraction of the anchorages available.

The weather all spring was a touch cooler than I’d have expected. I think it was an odd stretch of weather all the way down the coast.

  1. Lol I got way more of those right than I’ll ever admit to. Last time I locked thru Great Bridge headed south, it was with 3 other boats & a tug/barge; the bridge opened 10 mins late-good times jockeying in that minuscule space between! Also, I said Tillman Island-close; they’re both T islands sinking. Ducks of course should always win. Great vid as always!
